LORRY drivers are being urged: Please don't block our road.
The plea is being made over a country road running from near Ainley Top to Blackley.
Two signs warn of a three-tonne weight limit on Haigh House Hill, off Lindley Moor Road.
But local councillor Tony Brice said they were regularly ignored.
"Lorries get stuck on average once a month," he said.
He has asked Kirklees Council's highways department to fit an extra sign halfway down the hill, where drivers would still have a chance to reverse.
"But the best thing would be if they took notice of the signs in the first place," said Clr Brice.
