CHILDREN should not be bored this summer.

There's a host of sport, drama and dance courses throughout the holidays.

The Kirklees Sports Development Team is staging a range of courses for youngsters aged eight to 15.

All the courses are run by qualified coaches and cover activities such as football, cricket, swimming, netball and tennis.

The courses, delivered in partnership with Kirklees Active Leisure and sports clubs, should give children the chance to try new skills and find ways to continue their interests.

The courses are detailed on leaflets available at sports centres and libraries or by phoning 01484 234000.

Dance and drama workshops for seven to 11-year- olds will be by the Take-Off Zone in Huddersfield, Meltham and Honley.

The week-long courses run for half a day for five days and cost £25.

At the end of the week there will be a chance to show new skills in a performance for parents and friends.
