A HEAVY police presence will be in action for Huddersfield Town's home match against high-flying Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

The game is classed as a Category C match - which means more officers will be on duty than at most other games.

Football liaison officer Pc Martin Spencer said: "We are expecting about 4,000 fans to travel over from Doncaster and there may well be many more Town supporters than usual because Doncaster are second in the table and it is the New Year holiday.

"It will be very busy with traffic congestion around the McAlpine Stadium and people who are not going to the match should bear this in mind and plan their journeys accordingly."
