POLICE investigating an allegation of racial abuse need your help.

British Transport Police are hoping people can identify this man they want to speak to as part of their investigation into racial abuse at Halifax railway station and then on board a train on Friday, May 24.

Pc Craig Virco said: “Around 7.10am, a passenger waiting for a train, overheard a man shouting at another man in the waiting room at Halifax station.

“Both men and the passenger then boarded the 7.12 service to Manchester, where the shouting continued. One of the men was heard to be making offensive racist remarks to the other, who is thought to be Eastern European.”

A female passenger reported them.

Police want to hear from the man who was the subject of the alleged racist comments.
