Det Insp Mark Colman of Kirklees CID said: “In the early hours of Tuesday after a warrant had been executed, a 21-year-old man from Huddersfield was arrested and is currently in police custody helping police with their enquiries following a suspected firearms discharge in Dalton on Saturday night.

“We are potentially linking the distrubance with a road traffic collision that occurred at about the same time outside The Dalton Hotel in Rawthorpe Lane.
