A MAN has been arrested this morning on suspicion of murdering a missing Halifax woman.

The 38-year-old man was arrested this morning and is being questioned about the disappearance of Lisa Ambler in 2003.

West Yorkshire Police officers have been searching railway arches off Berry Lane, Halifax, while divers searched at Salterhebble canal basin.

Ms Ambler, who had two children both now in their 20s, was sleeping rough with her then boyfriend in a tent on Southowram Bank at the time of her disappearance.
