MOBILE contact points have been set up to give the public better access to the police.

The scheme is being run in conjunction with Kirklees Mobile Library and Information Centre.

Officers and PCSOs from Huddersfield South NPT will be onboard the mobile buses to chat and discuss problems with locals.

Buses will be at Brownroyd Avenue, Dalton, on Mondays from 5pm to 7pm and Fernside Crescent, Almondbury, from 11.45am until 1.30pm on Tuesdays.

On Thursdays the service will call at Walpole Road, Crosland Moor, from 2.45pm until 4.30pm and Ruth Street, Newsome, from 5.30pm until 7pm.

The mobile centres also provide services such as free internet access, benefits advice, careers advice and assistance with paying council bills.
