AN anonymous tip-off led to a drugs swoop in Huddersfield.
Police today revealed they arrested five men on suspicion of serious drugs offences after they stopped a car in Marsh on Tuesday night.
Officers say the arrests were a direct result of an anonymous tip-off to the Dob In A Dealer phone number.
The arrests were made by the Kirklees District Drugs Team.
Police recovered a substantial quantity of what is believed to be heroin and crack cocaine and cash.
Four men from Huddersfield and a man from London were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.
The Huddersfield men were released on police bail, pending inquiries.
The 19-year-old Londoner was charged with supplying a class A drug and possession with intent to supply.
Det Sgt Ian Devey, of the drugs team, said: "The local community is playing a vital role in cracking down on suspected drug dealing. I would like to thank it for the information.
"The public are the eyes and ears of our team. Many people see suspicious behaviour every day and this is their opportunity to act."
