A KIRKLEES group which has helped promote good relations between the police, local minority groups and local government will hold its annual meeting next week.
The North Kirklees Ethnic Minority Police Forum is open to anyone to attend and will be held at the Pakistan and Kashmir Welfare Association in Staincliffe Way, Batley, on Monday, May 24.
Doors open at 5.30pm with the meeting beginning at 6pm.
Dr Khadam Khamas, who chairs the forum, will give a short opening speech before handing over to the speakers for the evening.
These will address the issue of community relations in the Dewsbury district and will outline benefits of the forum.
Speakers will include the Head of Kirklees Council Community Support Services Karen Johnson, as well as Mr Jim Bostwick, head teacher of Birkdale High School in Dewsbury.
