TWO masked men held up a betting office.

The pair struck in Dewsbury, threatening staff with a knife and a metal bar before escaping with cash.

Now police in Dewsbury are appealing for information after the robbery at Carrigill Turf Accountants on St Peter's Parade, Earlsheaton.

They struck just before 8pm on Wednesday.

The two suspects approached the counter of the bookmakers and demanded cash before grabbing a drawer containing cash.

Both suspects then ran off in the direction of the Commercial pub. It is believed that the suspects were seen getting into a black car on Park Road shortly after the robbery.

The suspects were described as two men in their 20s.

One was white, around 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall with a gaunt face. He wore a grey hooded top with darker horizontal stripes across it, blue jeans, black gloves and trainers. His face was covered with a red and white bandana.

The second suspect was around 5ft 8in to 6ft tall, of medium build and wore a dark hooded top with two white stripes down the sleeves. He also wore gloves, blue jeans and trainers and a camouflage ski mask.
