A MAIN Huddersfield road was sealed off after a man fell from a car.
New Hey Road was shut from the Bay Horse roundabout up to Oakes from 8.30am yesterday morning for several hours.
A man was badly hurt after falling from a car, but details remain sketchy.
Detectives are investigating and scenes of crimes experts have carried out a thorough examination of the scene.
A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “We are investigating an incident that occurred on New Hey Road around 8.30am on Sunday.
“A 29-year-old man subsequently attended Huddersfield Royal Infirmary having received injuries which are believed to be as a result of falling from a moving vehicle which was travelling on New Hey Road near the Salvation Army building.’’
She added: “His injuries, although serious, are not life-threatening.’’
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
