A woman found dead at Lepton has been named by shocked neighbours.
Police discovered the body in a house in Sorbus Way, Lepton, it has been revealed.
Now a major investigation is under way.
It is believed the woman is Beth Dale, a former King James’ School student who runs a holistic therapy business from her home.
She trained at the White Rose School of Beauty in Huddersfield.
Miss Dale was a keen animal lover and has two dogs and a pet cat. The dogs are miniature Schnauzers, named Poppy and Georgia.
Police remained outside her home late this afternoon.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Shortly after 4pm on Thursday, officers attended an address in Sorbus Way, Lepton, following a call from a neighbour raising concerns for the occupant.
“Entry was forced to the house and the body of a 36-year-old woman was found upstairs.
“A post mortem examination has been carried out; however at this stage the cause of death has yet to be fully determined.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and further enquiries will be made”.
Sorbus Way is a residential street off Woodlands Road, close to the centre of the village.
A number of officers have been seen working in the street.
