POLICE have found another cannabis growing operation - their fourth in just over a week.

This time 28 cannabis plants were discovered growing at a house in Ravensthorpe.

Police also seized equipment needed to grow cannabis, including powerful lights.

A 43-year-old man was arrested and given a police caution.

The raid followed three finds in Huddersfield over the last week.

The biggest came last Tuesday, when police raided a three-storey building on St Peter's Street in the town centre and found a massive cannabis factory.

More than 700 plants worth around £250,000 were seized. Three men have been remanded in custody, accused of conspiracy to produce cannabis.

A cannabis-growing operation was found at two houses on Manor Street in Newsome after one caught fire on Friday, February 2.

And last Thursday six cannabis plants were found at a house on Marina Terrace in Golcar.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with producing cannabis. He will appear before Huddersfield magistrates on Friday.
