Scammers posing as police officers have been trying to steal bank details via a series of fraudulent phone calls.
And West Yorkshire Police are warning people, particularly those with investment bank accounts, to be wary of calls they receive from people claiming to be police officers.
The warning comes after a woman in Dewsbury received a call from someone claiming to be a police officer, saying their investment bank account was under investigation and that they needed to transfer some money to another account .

The matter is being investigated by police.
If anyone receives a similar call they should ask for the officer's name and collar number before checking it with police on 101 to see whether the call is genuine.
