A PREGNANT girl was dragged to the floor, punched and robbed in a vicious attack in Marsh.

The 16-year-old was walking in Carr Street with two friends, a 14-year-old girl and an 16-year old boy on January 8 at 7pm.

As they reached the junction with Haywood Avenue, the group were approached by three men. The two friends ran away and the eight-week pregnant girl was threatened for her mobile phone.

As she struggled, they punched her in the face and dragged her to the floor.

Although they did not get her phone, the suspects stole cash, two bags and an X-box.

She was left with minor injuries but, according to a police spokesman, was “clearly very shaken.”

The attackers were described as three black men in their late teens.

One was 6ft 2ins, slim and wore a Nike tracksuit, red bandana, black gloves and a gold bracelet.

The second was 5ft 6ins also slim and wore a black Adidas hooded top and black bandana and the third wore a black Nike top and black Adidas bottoms.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact Det Con Andy Clayton at Huddersfield CID via 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
