RASTRICK Preparatory School has promised to keep up its proud record.

The pledge came from head teacher Susan Vaughey at the annual awards evening.

She said 2006/07 had been a year of consolidation for the school following an excellent Ofsted report.

The work to keep up those standards had continued, with the school welcoming new children from the former Rosemeade School in Almondbury and plans to bring in pupils from Mountjoy House School in Huddersfield.

Mrs Vaughey added: “Our results in Standard Attainment Tests (Sats) are as outstanding as ever. We are proud of Rastrick in that we are an independent school which not only follows the National Curriculum but sets Sats for each year group and has them marked externally.

“We cannot be more open and honest about each child’s achievements.

“We are unique and the school has a special ethos which is intangible,” said Mrs Vaughey.

Prizes were presented to scores of pupils.
