PUPILS and leavers of Moor End Academy received prizes for their achievements at a presentation evening on November 28.

Leavers were handed prizes and certificates for their GCSE results, while current students received prizes for their progress at the evening which featured the Deputy Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, Major Stanley Hardy, as guest speaker.

Among the winners were Iftikhar Ahmed, who won the Holset Shield for Academic Achievement, Sersha Lawrence, who won the Service to School Prize and Javen Wedderburn and Aksa Mubeen who shared the Moor End Academy Shield.
