A POLICE investigation is under way after the body of a missing teenager was found in Huddersfield.

Detectives have confirmed this morning that it was 17-year-old James Peter Dollery who had been discovered behind Tandem Taxis off Wakefield Road, Waterloo, on Tuesday afternoon.

A probe into the circumstances surrounding his death is being led by Det Supt John Parkinson.

It is believed police are keeping an open mind as to what happened to James.

Officers are anxious to speak to anyone who saw the former Almondbury High pupil on the evening he vanished on November 19 last year.

James was formally identified by relatives yesterday.

He vanished after he told his 48-year-old mother, Pauline, that he was popping out, but never returned.

Anguished Mrs Dollery and his 21-year-old sister, Ella Moh, had made repeated pleas for help through the Examiner to trace James while he was listed as missing from home.
