SYLVIA and Frank Lane are retiring after six years as landlords of
The Junction pub at Kirkburton. The couple will leave the new licensees with a hard act to follow
after raising more than £20,000 for good causes while there. The money has been given to a variety of local charities, including
Kirkwood Hospice and the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust, junior football and rugby teams and the former Turnshaws School.
