PUPILS from Kirklees schools have been learning how to manage their money in school.

And the impact of the new 'personal finance education' was being discussed at a seminar for other schools, businesses and education and community representatives today in Brighouse.

The seminar, one of eight being held across England, is run by pfeg, the Personal Finance Education Group.

The project is aimed at raising the quality and quantity of personal finance education in schools.

The local schools involved said what they thought about it and showed how it works.

Through pfeg's work 150,000 children nationally have been taught how to become more financially competent.

The seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Clifton Village.
