TWO motorsports enthusiasts travelled to France for their latest charity challenge.

Quad bikers Paul Taylor, 44, of Mirfield, and Alan Bromiley, 55, of Bradley, took part in an international event at Le Touquet.

Their newest challenge was one they had wanted to undertake for some time.

It is regarded as one of the toughest races in Europe and attracted a huge crowd of spectators over the weekend.

Le Touquet, just south of Calais, has a 9km long track with 40ft ramps and long beaches.

Both men took about three hours to do the course - with Alan winning the seniors' section.

He said: "The adrenaline was fantastic."

Last year the two completed a four-day endurance event in the Alps, in deep snow, on all-terrain vehicles.

They raised £1,500 for the Children's Liver Disease Foundation.

Mr Taylor's son William, nine, suffers from the condition.
