POLICE have found a cannabis factory in the heart of the Holme Valley.
Officers raided a house on Woodhead Road in the centre of Holmfirth near its junction with Greenfield Road yesterday afternoon.
Inside they found a full hydroponic set-up and scores of cannabis plants growing.
It is the latest in a spate of cannabis factories discovered in the Huddersfield area and the finds have ranged from Huddersfield town centre to Dewsbury, Denby Dale and Slaithwaite.
The biggest ever found was in Fartown last year and had plants growing inside with an estimated street value of £300,000.
Almost all the raids have followed tip-offs to the police and every cannabis factory found so far was in a rented property.
