SUNDAY rail passengers in the Huddersfield area face major disruption in the coming weeks.
Engineering work is planned by Network Rail work over the next few months.
Metro says some is covered in its new timetables from Monday - and some isn't.
The main changes are on the Huddersfield Line and York and Selby Line.
TransPennine Express services which normally run through Dewsbury and Huddersfield will be diverted via the Calder Valley before 9am on Sundays.
Dewsbury and Huddersfield will instead be served by a coach service running between Leeds and Manchester Airport.
The local service between Leeds and Marsden on Sundays will also have bus replacements. These will start after 11pm on Saturday.
Services on the East Coast Main Line are also affected by engineering work north of Newcastle until mid-November.
Metro is advising passengers to check its website at www. wymetro.com or call MetroLine on 0113 245 7676 before making journeys at weekends.
