PUBLIC sector workers have been invited to a rally.

Huddersfield Trades Union Council has organised the protest in St George’s Square on November 30 – which could be the day of the biggest strike since 1926.

Some 1.1 m council staff, teachers and civil servants across the country are currently voting on industrial action against Government plans to make them work longer and pay more into their pensions.

Marchers will gather in St George’s Square at 11am on November 30 for a march around the town centre before returning to the square to hear speeches by union leaders.
