A RASTRICK shop has been given permission to sell alcohol.

And the backing from Calderdale Council came despite 132 objections from local residents concerned about the rising number of shops selling alcohol and antisocial behaviour.

Muhammad Ismail, of the Premier Convenience, at 85 Highfield Road, Rastrick, said they would install CCTV and abide by the ‘under 25’ policy of ‘no identification, no sale’.

Calderdale’s licensing sub-committee granted the alcohol licence.
