COMMUNITY groups have been offered a free minibus.

Cash-strapped Rawthorpe Amateur Boxing Club can’t afford to keep its 17-seater on the road.

But director Mark Reynolds is offering to give the vehicle to any community group in Huddersfield.

He said: “We have to get rid of the minibus because we can’t afford it any more. It’s coming up to its MOT and the tax is running out.”

The white diesel LDV is nine-years-old and has been used by the boxing club since 2004.

Mr Reynolds said: “We use it to travel round the country for boxing shows, so we won’t be able to go to certain tournaments from now on.”

Any community group interested in taking the minibus can call Mr Reynolds on 07747 846 977.
