THE SIX soldiers killed in a Taliban blast are expected to be flown home next week.

Ministry of Defence officials are expected to confirm shortly that repatriation ceremonies will take place, probably on Thursday.

The six - including three young Huddersfield men - all died when their Warrior armoured vehicle was blown up by an IED.

They will be flown home to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire where there will be private receptions for the families.

The servicemen will then be taken in a cortege through the small town of Carterton.

Hundreds of people are expected to line the streets of Carterton close to the Memorial Gardens, which have played host to the moving ceremonies since last September for troops killed in action in Afghanistan.
