THE Sex Pistols played their last ever UK gig in Huddersfield - and now researchers for a BBC documentary are appealing for those who attended to come forward.

The band played two gigs on Christmas Day in 1977 at Ivanhoes, a club on Manchester Road, which has since shut down.

The researchers are keen to hear from those who attended the first of those two gigs.

It was a special concert, which the band put on for the children of the Huddersfield firefighters who were on strike at the time.

It is also thought that the band spent time playing with the children, and gave them Christmas gifts.

The documentary, called 'Ghosts of Christmas Past' looks at the ways in which people celebrate Christmas.

The researchers are looking forward to hearing from anybody who attended.
