CAMPAIGNERS fighting for safer roads in Flockton are again taking their case to Kirklees Council.
Around 200 signatures calling for an overall look at the traffic problems in the village have been collected.
Protesters are also asking for more consultation with residents.
They will put their concerns to the Cabinet Committee on March 29.
Trevor Clarke, of Flockton Green, said: "Flockton is a long, linear village and of course being on the rat run to the motorway you can imagine some of the speeds some of those people go at."
He said there were lots of issues with `traffic management' in the village.
He also said seven and a half tonne wagons were passing through the village when they should be following a different route.
The campaigners want to see a holistic approach taken by the council.
"Not a piece-meal attempt at dealing with the problem but a holistic one," said Mr Clarke.
He said this would include better controls, maybe another chicane and a new pelican crossing.
Speaking about the number of signatures collected Mr Clarke added: "I think that's quite a significant number that should force the council to take us seriously."
