The most expensive house sold in Huddersfield in October was bought for £865,000.

Prices listed by the Land Registry have revealed the most expensive houses in Kirklees and Calderdale snapped up in October.

Topping the Huddersfield list was a detached, five-bedroom house in Denby Lane, Upper Denby, with four bathrooms and two reception rooms.

So far, 25,088 residential sales have been registered from October 2015 — however sales completed in late October may not be listed yet, as it can take several weeks after completion.

Across England and Wales, there were 562 £1m+ sales, including 105 at £2m+.
