ARTISTS are being sought to help improve Milnsbridge.
The search is on for three artists to create works for the River Colne Sculpture Trail.
This will see 10 works of art placed along the river from Milnsbridge to Marsden.
The sculptures will be in a variety of media, from traditional metal or stonework to light, sound and new media.
They will reflect the Colne Valley's transformation from the industrial to the digital age.
The first artwork will be installed in Slaithwaite in the spring.
Now the focus is moving down the valley to Milnsbridge.
Cash for the sculptures in Milnsbridge will come from £50,000 of Lottery money.
The money was secured by regeneration project Milnsbridge Matters last autumn.
The commission is worth £33,750.
The local community will be involved in decisions about the works of art.
