A BUSY road in Brighouse will be closed for urgent repairs tomorrow.
Contractors plan to carry out improvements to the road surface at Brookfoot Lane.
Over the past few weeks there has been a gradual build-up of road grime and tyre wear on the road surface.
Calderdale Council is reacting quickly to carry out treatment using a specialist retexturing contractor.
The work will require the closure of Brookfoot Lane between Southowram and Brighouse from 8am. It is expected to run into the afternoon.
Diversions will be signposted.
A council spokesman apologised in advance for any inconvenience to motorists or residents, but said the improvement work was essential.
Further works are planned for Brookfoot Lane next summer when an anti-skid road surface will be laid.
