A VICIOUS robber poked his victim in the eyes during a shop raid.
Police believe the attacker may have boasted about his crime since and have appealed for help to catch him.
The robbery was at Shahid News on Huddersfield Road, Scout Hill, Dewsbury, on Friday, January 16 - but details have only just been released by police.
Two thieves went into the shop, one of whom stayed near the door as a lookout.
His violent accomplice shouted, swore and demanded money from the 53-year-old shopkeeper.
He then punched the victim in the face, grabbed him in a headlock and poked his eyes with his fingers.
The robber threw his victim to the floor and dragged him in a headlock around to the till where he stole cash.
The thieves then escaped.
The attacker is white, in his mid 20s, almost 6ft and skinny.
He wore a grey hooded top with the hood tied tightly around his face.
The lookout is also white and in his early 20s, only 5ft 2ins with dirty blond short hair and a chubby pock-marked face which also had blackheads.
Mrs Helen Sandom, of Dewsbury police, said: "The crime did happen a few weeks ago now so the offenders may have told others what they have done."
Anyone who knows who the robbers are should contact Det Con Steve Hinchcliffe at Dewsbury CID on 01924 431151.
