A ROBBER threatened to stab a schoolboy as he walked along a busy main road last night.

The 15-year-old boy was walking along Wakefield Road in Dalton at around 5pm with his schoolfriend when they were confronted by three men.

Two of the men walked off, but the third asked for a cigarette and then threatened to stab the boy if he did not hand over cash.

The boy's pockets were then searched, and his Sony Erickson mobile phone and Nike wallet containing £30 cash were removed.

Further threats were then made if the boy tried to follow the group.

The robber is described as white, 18 to 19 years and 6ft 2in tall. He had a medium build and short brown hair.

He had olive skin, a wispy goatee beard and was wearing a grey tracksuit with hooded top. He spoke with a Jamaican accent. The second man was white, a similar age and 5ft 10in tall with a black tracksuit with hooded top.

The third man was mixed race, 18 to 19 years. He had a medium build and was wearing a grey tracksuit.
