Police are investigating reports of a robbery at Honley Social Club.

A person inside the Jaggar Lane club alerted the police  at 7.04pm to an ongoing robbery which, it is believed, involved one suspect.

Officers arrived on the scene six minutes later and searched the area for the suspect.

Enquiries are ongoing.

The robbery comes just 24 hours after two people raided the Jack Pearson betting shop in the village.

Staff there were threatened with a knife in the raid at teatime on Tuesday.
