A TEAM of Huddersfield accountants swapped their books for rowing machines to raise money for charity.

The group, from Mazars in High Street, included Julia Hebden (on the machine), watched by fellow rowers John Wilson and Jennifer Smith.

They joined the efforts of workers from the 18 Mazars offices across the UK taking part in the Mazars' Marathon Rowing Challenge.

The fundraising event began on April 3 and finishes on Sunday.

The national aim is to complete 945 miles.

The rowers hope to raise £60,000 to go to the Steve Redgrave Trust, which works to improve opportunities for children and young people in their communities.

The Huddersfield team did 33 miles and hopes to have raised raise at least £1,000.
