HOLMFIRTH gets the Royal treatment today.

The Princess Royal was flying in for a visit to the area’s famous Longley Farm.

The Royal visitor will meet members of the Dickinson family, who started the dairy business decades ago, and will chat with many of the 100 staff who work there.

Princess Anne awarded a special certificate of achievement to Longley Farm in 1991, the first year of the awards, and she is honouring a pledge made at the time to visit the premises at Hade Edge.

The Princess will arrive in Holmfirth shortly before 11.30am and is expected to be at the dairy for 75 minutes.
