A bid to find the next generation of Rugby League stars is to be made in Huddersfield.

Kirklees College is to launch its own rugby league academy on Wednesday, March 23.

The launch will take place at 6:30pm on at the college’s Waterfront campus, in the conferencing suite.

It will give local clubs and students the opportunity to see what the academy has to offer and talk all things rugby league.

There will be presentations from tutors and coaches from Kirklees College, as well as a guest presentation from the Rugby Football League to talk about progression and opportunities in the sport.

The event will also include a question and answer session.

The evening is aimed at providing information on what the academy can offer potential students academically, as well as look at how the academy can help students find a career in rugby league.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to win tickets to a Huddersfield Giants home game and will be provided with refreshments at the event.
