TWO teenagers completed a sponsored run to raise money for the armed forces charity Help for Heroes.

Ryan Hanson, 14, from Heckmondwike, and his friend Ronan Finch, 15, from Birstall completed the 13.1-mile event starting at the Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield to Elland Road stadium.

The pair, who are both Leeds United fans, completed the run in two hours and raised £600 between them.

“We are all very proud of them both for thinking of doing such a great thing and also we were all amazed at how well they did on the day.”

The boys both attend Bruntcliffe School in Morley, Leeds. Ronan’s mum works for Camira fabrics, Meltham.
