A hapless cow was not a-moo-sed when she became stuck in a tunnel.
The lost bovine had wandered off from her herd and became trapped in a drainage tunnel beneath Saddleworth Road, Greetland, on Friday evening.
The alarm was raised after her owner found the silly moo stuck a third of the way into the tunnel measuring 1m 50cm high and 90m long.
The animal was heavily sedated before fire brigade specialist rescuers attached a harness to her.
The harness was attached by a tow rope to a tractor and the cow was slowly dragged out.
The operation, involving five firefighters from Cleckheaton station and a rescue expert from the headquarters at Birkenshaw, took two-and-a-half hours.
The animal was brought round with another drug and taken to Far Barsey Farm, Barkisland, to recover.
Cleckheaton Fire Station watch commander Andy Rose said: "She'd gone in a tunnel and found she couldn't turn round.
"We had to bring her out slowly taking care so she didn't bang her head on the floor.
"It was quite a challenging extrication working in a confined space.
"The animal was uninjured and didn't appear distressed.
"It was certainly bizarre."
