A SCHOOLGIRL has been arrested by police investigating a brutal attack on a 27-year-old Almondbury woman.

A SCHOOLGIRL has been arrested by police investigating a brutal attack on a 27-year-old Almondbury woman.

Sarah Swift suffered serious injuries including a fractured cheekbone, broken arm and badly bruised face in the incident on Halton Close in Almondbury on Monday, January 19.

The 15-year-old girl from Almondbury was detained by officers on suspicion of grevious bodily harm.

She has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
