LUCKY Sarah Milner is to get the first Harry Potter book in Huddersfield.

The 10-year-old won the Examiner’s competition with bookshop Waterstone’s to become the VIP – Very Important Potter fan when the final book, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows,.

The book will go on sale at 12:01am this Saturday – and Sarah will be the first in the queue.

She will receive the first copy along with a Waterstone’s Beat The Potter Blues Bookset – a set of 10 magical books to show there is literary life after the demise of the Harry Potter series which comes to an end with The Deathly Hallows.

The entrants aged between eight and 14 had to answer the question: From which London train station does Harry catch the Hogwarts Express?

The answer was Kings Cross and Sarah’s entry was plucked from a very full competition hat.

Sarah lives in Quarmby with parents Colin and Tania Milner.

Mrs Milner said: “She’s read all the books – she loves to read – seen the films and even has Harry Potter games. She’s a massive Harry Potter fan so it’s wonderful she’s won!’’

Sarah is a pupil at Reinwood Junior School.
