A NEW Mill school has achieved the Healthy Schools Award.
Kirkroyds Infant School gained the Kirklees award after more than 12 months of hard work on improving the health of school pupils.
During that time deputy head Louise Armitage worked on nine areas to gain the award.
These included the school environment, healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.
Head teacher Christine Wood said: "The process highlighted lots of things that we have now put into place to make the school a healthier place."
