GREEN gladiator Eloise Bray is a climate champion.

The 13-year-old Scissett Middle School pupil has won a competition organised by the British Council.

Her winning DVD is aimed at encouraging younger children to take the small steps that will enable climate change issues to become good habits as they become older.

To become one of only nine climate change champions nationally, Eloise had to go through several stages of the competition before making successful presentations to members of the British Council in Manchester.

Eloise said: “I was nervous when I made my presentations, but I am thrilled to be a climate change champion.

“I am really interested in the environment and enjoyed making the DVD for the competition.

Teacher Andrea Glencorse, who encouraged her to enter the competition, said: “Eloise put such a lot of thought and hard work into her DVD that she deserved her success”.
