n RIDING ONPart of an earlier Scooter Club rally

HUNDREDS of scooter riders will be flocking into Huddersfield this weekend.

Huddersfield Scooter Club is hosting a rally on Sunday and more than 500 riders are expected in town.

The rally will be held at the YMCA site at Laund Hill in Salendine Nook. Riders expected to attend come mainly from the Yorkshire Scooter Alliance.

They will ride through the town on Sunday lunchtime from the White Horse pub at Wakefield Road, Lepton, to Laund Hill.

The rally is free and will feature music and give people a chance to get a close look at the scooters.

The Huddersfield club celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

It meets at the Bay Horse pub in Lindley every Wednesday evening and special events with a '60s theme are being staged there to welcome the riders this weekend.
