THE hunt is on for Huddersfield's top shopper.
Bus company Arriva wants to find the town's biggest shopaholic.
The aim is to highlight the benefits of bus travel for town centre shoppers who cannot face congestion on the roads as well as in the shops.
Phil Stone, managing director of Arriva Yorkshire, said: "Nominees must prove their purchasing pedigree, have a nose for a bargain and be dedicated to the beautiful game of shopping.
"They will be judged by an expert panel of professional shoppers."
The winner will be awarded a plaque, which will be attached to a bus and unveiled on their local service.
To nominate a friend or family member, people should ring the Arriva shopaholic hotline on 0121 362 4060.
The judges will put a shortlist of semi-finalists through a phone interview to test their shopping prowess before Huddersfield's shopping champion is named.
The top shopper search is part of Arriva's Going Your Way campaign, which highlights the benefits of using public transport for town centre shopping.
As well as the search, Arriva will be delivering more than 500,000 leaflets with timetable information and money-off travel vouchers for town centre services to local homes.
