HIGH school pupils are being invited to take part in a college competition which could create the sweet smell of success.
Huddersfield Technical College is searching for the ultimate dessert for its gourmet restaurant and wants local pupils to find it.
The college is holding a delicious dessert contest to discover the most delicious dessert around.
Entrants aged between 11 and 16, working in pairs, need to create a unique dessert.
Entrants can use as many ingredients as they like, but the dessert should cost less than £5.
Teams must also come up with a catchy name for their creation and a sketch or photo of how it would look served up on a plate.
The top ten tastiest entries will be invited into the college's training kitchens at the end of April to rustle up their gourmet treat for a panel of judges.
The winning team will receive two free places on the college's Junior Chefs course, £40 in gift vouchers and a free meal, where the mouthwatering dessert will be tickling the taste buds of discerning diners.
To take part, people should find a partner and send a recipe and picture to Delicious Dessert Competition, School of Business and Leisure Industries, Huddersfield Technical College, New North Road, Huddersfield, HD1 5NN, by March 30.
Entrants must clearly mark their names, ages and addresses on the entry.
The 10 finalists will be notified by April 15.
