POLICE who investigated a sex attack claim by a 24-year-old woman have arrested her.
The woman sparked a major police inquiry when she claimed she had been attacked in woodland between Slant Gate and Hazel Grove in Linthwaite on Wednesday, September 1.
Police confirmed at the weekend that the attack never happened.
The woman was arrested by police in Huddersfield yesterday on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
She was given bail pending further inquiries.
