A JUDGE has ordered a dangerousness assessment on a 45-year-old man who met up with a teenager after “grooming” her for sexual abuse.

Mark Pullin, from Bristol, admitted sexually assaulting the 15-year-old girl in Huddersfield in April last year.

And Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday that at the time of the offending he was already subject to a risk of sexual harm order imposed at Worthing Magistrates Court in February 2007.

Pullin, of Seymour Road, pleaded guilty to breaching that order on two occasions as well as offences of meeting a child after sexual grooming and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

Barrister Christopher Tehrani, for Pullin, said he had admitted serious matters and conceded that the court would be concerned about the issue of dangerousness.

Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC remanded Pullin in custody for a report to be prepared on him, but he said he wanted a “rigorous analysis” of the danger posed by the defendant to young people.

The judge told Pullin he had spared a lot of time and heartache by pleading guilty to the offences and he would be sentenced on July 4.

Judge Durham Hall said he wanted an impact assessment statement from the victim, who cannot identified for legal reasons.
