CONCERNED citizens can have their say about crime while doing their shopping.
A community safety team is touring markets to talk to residents about the fight against burglary and anti-social behaviour.
The Calderdale Council roadshow gives shoppers the chance to pick out crime hotspots on a huge map.
They can also find out what’s being done to prevent law-breaking.
Clr Amanda Byrne, the council’s Cabinet member for community services, said: “I would encourage everyone to drop in at their local road show to discover what’s being done and tell us how crime affects their area.”
The roadshow will be at Elland Market between 10am and noon on Friday.
Anyone with information about crime, including anti-social behaviour, can phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 – and this information is then fed to local Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
